USF Financial Aid Program

The Financial Aid Scholarship was created to help support families in need of financial assistance with tuition fees. The original scholarship was creatd in the name of Bob Masi, a father of three former Seacoast United players who lost his battle with cancer several years ago.  His sons Joe, Michael, and Eric all went on to captain their collegiate teams at Stonehill College, Bates College and the University of New Hampshire respectively.  This scholarship will help support eligible families with partial payment of their travel club registration fees, applied to final payments.  Families receiving these awards must remain up to date with their fees prior to the final payment.

Applications for the 2017/18 Bob Masi Scholarship are not being accepted at this time.Please be aware, decisions on awards will be made AFTER player registrations/deposit and first payment are due.  This scholarshp is intended to help with fees.  It is not meant to fully pay club fees for any athlete.  Full scholarship timelines are outlined below.

Eligibility
Eligible applicants would be youth athletes competing at U18 or younger, registered to play for Seacoast United Sports Club, or a Recreation/Town/Travel Club team located in New Hampshire.  Masi Scholarships are competitive, need-based scholarships meant to relieve some of the financial burden on families in order to support athletes in their physical, social, and community development.

Applications - when the application window is open will have the requirements below.
In order to be considered, applicants must submit the following forms: 

  • Completed 2016/17 Bob Masi Scholarship Application form.  Subitted copy must include an actual signature from applicant and parent/guardian.
  • PDF copy of signed 2015 IRS 1040 form. - Please black out all personal information such as birth date and social security numbers to protect your identity.

Application Deadlines for Seacoast United 2016/17 Season:
June 30th, 2016 - no exceptions and award letters will be given after July 30th, 2016.  Fees will be applied to the final bill in February 2017 if account is paid to date.

All applications will be reviewed by Foundation Scholarship Committee.  Scholarship funds awarded will be paid directly from the Seacoast United Foundation to the player's club or travel team organization, which will reduce registration fees accordingly.
